Effective Date: 01/2022    Last Updated: 08/14/2026

Bright Talent, Inc. (“we,” “us,” “our”) is a human resources consulting firm. We place independent consultants with client companies and help clients source candidates for roles they are filling directly. This policy explains what personal information we collect through brighttalent.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. We operate only in the United States.

What We Collect

Forms on our website. Our Contact Us form and our resource request forms collect your name, company name, job title, email address, and whatever you write in your message. Submissions go to a shared Bright Talent email inbox accessible only to authorized personnel. We do not pass this information to any third party whose products or materials are described on those pages.

Career center. Our career center is powered by Avionté, an applicant tracking platform embedded in our website. When you apply to an opportunity, your name, contact information, and resume are submitted directly into Avionté, which stores them on our behalf. We do not ask applicants for race, ethnicity, gender, veteran status, disability status, or other equal employment opportunity information.

If you are engaged as a consultant, we will separately collect the information needed to contract with and pay you.

Automatically. Our web servers log your IP address, browser and operating system, access times, and the pages you view. We may infer your general city and state from your IP address. We do not collect precise location.

From others. When recruiting, we may receive information from references you provide or from public professional sources such as LinkedIn. Background checks are run only with your authorization and where permitted by law.

How We Use It

We use the information described above for the following purposes:

Responding to Inquiries. To respond to messages and requests submitted through our website forms, provide requested materials, and follow up with you about our consulting services.

Recruiting and Placement. To operate our career center; review and evaluate applications; match candidates with consulting engagements or with roles our clients are filling; verify information and, where required for a specific engagement, conduct reference or background checks as permitted by law; and communicate with you about your application and about future opportunities.

Business Operations. To administer consulting engagements, prepare statements of work, invoice clients, pay consultants, maintain accounting and tax records, secure our systems, and maintain our business records.

Communications and Marketing. To send you information about our services, industry updates, and events, and to understand which of our communications and web pages are of interest to you. You can unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time.

Legal, Security, and Safety. To protect our rights and those of our clients and consultants, detect and prevent fraud and other unlawful activity, and meet our legal and regulatory obligations

Who We Share It With

We do not sell personal information. We do not share it for advertising purposes. We disclose it only as follows:

  • Service providers who run our systems, under contracts limiting them to working on our behalf: Squarespace (website and forms), Avionté (career center), HubSpot (CRM and email), MailChimp (email), Microsoft and Zoom (email, files, meetings), and our accounting and professional advisors.

  • Clients. When you apply to an opportunity, we may share your resume and contact information with the client that opportunity is for, so they can consider you and follow up directly. We do not share your information with any other client. We may keep your resume on file and contact you ourselves about future opportunities.

  • Others when required by law or legal process, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a sale or merger of our business.

Cookies

Our site uses cookies from Squarespace (site security, fraud prevention, and basic visitor statistics), and LinkedIn (the follower counter in our footer). We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, session replay, or heatmap tools, and we do not use Google Analytics, Adobe Advertising, or the Meta Pixel.

Our cookie banner lets you accept or decline non-essential cookies. Essential cookies, which keep the site functioning and secure, cannot be declined. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings, though parts of the site may not work as intended. Your choices apply to the browser and device you are using.

Some pages embed video, and our site uses fonts hosted by Adobe. Loading that content connects your browser to those providers, which receive your IP address. Video loads only when you choose to play it.

Your Choices and Rights

Email optout@brighttalent.com or call (714) 838-0995 to ask what information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or opt out of marketing. You can also unsubscribe using the link in any marketing email. If you opt out of marketing, we may still contact you about an active engagement or an application you submitted.

These rights apply to applicants and independent consultants as well as to website visitors and client contacts. We will verify your identity before responding, and we may not be able to delete information we are required to keep for tax, legal, or recordkeeping reasons. We will not treat you differently for exercising these rights. An authorized agent may make a request for you with your written permission.

Because we do not sell or share personal information for advertising, there is nothing for an opt-out preference signal such as Global Privacy Control to apply to. If that ever changes, we will honor those signals and update this policy first.

We do not send text messages and we do not have a mobile app.

How Long We Keep It

Form submissions and contact records are kept while we have an active or prospective relationship with you. Resumes are kept so we can consider you for current and future opportunities, and are reviewed periodically. Contract, tax, and accounting records are kept for the periods required by law. Meeting recordings are kept only as long as needed for the engagement they relate to.

Security, Children, and Changes

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information, though no system is completely secure. Our services are not directed to anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect their information. If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top.
